Marking a decisive shift from words to action, the “Solutions Summit” underscores a commitment to action: turning vision into results and collaboration into measurable progress.
The Summit builds on the Protein PACT’s original mission, to create a more sustainable, transparent, and responsible animal protein sector, but adds a sharper focus on implementation. In a time of growing environmental, social, and regulatory challenges, the industry must go beyond discussion. The new direction is clear: a systemic, collective push for real-world solutions, supported by concrete tools and shared responsibility.
Bringing together the entire animal protein value chain
The event brings together the entire animal protein value chain (producers, processors, suppliers, and retailers) to exchange insights, forge partnerships, and co-develop strategies. Attendees will leave with practical business tools and operational frameworks that can be applied immediately. Among the top priorities are ensuring high animal welfare standards throughout the supply chain, not only for ethical reasons but also to meet the growing expectations of consumers.
Food safety and quality, essential for public trust and health, are also at the core of the agenda. Similarly, environmental sustainability involves reducing the footprint of protein production through innovation, efficiency, and collaboration. A key moment of the Summit will be the keynote speech by Jack A. Bobo, Executive Director of the Rothman Family Institute for Food Studies at UCLA (University of California, Los Angeles) and a global expert on food systems and communication. Known for his book “Why Smart People Make Bad Food Choices”, Bobo will speak about the urgent need to go beyond facts. In today’s polarised and misinformed landscape, he argues, trust and emotional connection are essential to reshaping the public narrative around food and sustainability.
In that spirit, the Summit will spotlight companies that are already advancing the five core pillars of the Protein PACT agenda: offering examples, case studies, and best practices to inspire further action.
